Mons pubis lift vs monsplasty—what is the difference?
Monsplasty is a standalone procedure that lifts and reduces the mons pubis without a full tummy tuck. It may be appropriate for patients who do not need abdominal skin removal or muscle tightening. However, when performed during a tummy tuck, mons lifting achieves better results because the tissues can be elevated and secured as part of a single procedure.

Does mons pubis lifting add to the cost of a tummy tuck? No. Dr. Spann includes mons contouring in every abdominoplasty at no additional charge.
Will the incision be longer? No. The mons is lifted through the same incision used for your tummy tuck.
Is mons lifting the same as labiaplasty? No. Mons lifting addresses the pubic mound above the labia. Labiaplasty addresses the labia minora. Dr. Spann can discuss labia majora contouring if this is a concern.
How long do results last? Results are long-lasting with stable weight. Significant weight gain or loss can affect the mons over time.
